Many high speed operations have resorted to using integrated sensors as the only viable option for delivering advanced performance. In part, this has come about because high speed motor design has necessitated low inductance coil design. Many ‘traditional’ sensorless modes of operation were unable to operate with such low inductance. As a result, the motor performance was either compromised, or sensors had to be introduced.
We have invested heavily in this area in order to develop a motor drive method which can operate successfully in such motors.
