Zikodrive delighted to announce opening of new manufacturing facility in Halifax

It gives us enormous pleasure to be able to finally announce the opening of our new manufacturing facility in Halifax, West Yorkshire.

Over the last few months we have been working hard on transitioning from our basic prototyping manufacturing facility to a fully spec’d automated line. With the Covid-19 restrictions and delays that we’ve had to contend with this has taken a considerable amount of extra time. However, we are now in a position to be able to formally announce it after the final pieces of equipment were delivered a few weeks ago and have now been fully commissioned and are in use.

Zikodrive Production Line 1

This move represents a major part of the ongoing growth strategy that has seen the company continue to grow strongly this year, despite the impact of Covid-19 on many of the projects we had previously been working on.

The opening of this facility, which is being managed by Head of Production Marius Sumutiu, will allow us to significantly reduce costs and lead times, with these benefits being passed onto our customers. The facility will enable us to manufacture a wide range of boards and features automatic solder printing, pick and place, reflow oven, AOI and wave solder equipment.

Once the Covid-19 restrictions are over we would be delighted to welcome existing or prospective customers to the facility to see their controllers being made, subject to appointments.
